Born the eldest son in Kano Nigeria (1960) and raised in Sagamu by my grandparents after my parents moved to the UK, I joined my parents in London United Kingdom in 1970, attending several local schools while adapting to a new culture.
1968 I experienced the Biafra war in Sagamu whilst living with my Grandparents.
In 1977 I was renditioned to Lagos Nigeria, had my passport confiscated, and after working at Nigeria Airways and experiencing Lagos nightlife I saved, and obtained a new passport, and embarked on a perilous two-year overland journey across West and North Africa through the Sahara Desert, (which is the largest hot desert in the world) arriving back to the UK by 1980.
I worked night security, witnessed the Brixton riots after I finished work at Christian Aid one night. I ran my own security and cleaning companies, and in 1989 I established one of the area's first independent computer shops in Mitcham which I am still running.
That business grew into Procom Surrey Ltd, Pro-Com Computer Service Centre in Morden Surrey where I combine technical skill with hands on installation and maintenance to help local businesses and homeowners get reliable, cost-effective IT.
